Crypto risk, in plain answers.
Short answers to the questions that matter most before you trust anyone with your money, including us.
What is CriptoFocus?
CriptoFocus is a rules-based crypto trading system run by founder Olusegun Ajayi, live on real money since 30 September 2026. It is built around capital preservation: its worst drop is designed to stay inside 15%, never past Bybit Pro's 20% limit, and a three-step drawdown brake slows or stops new trades during a fall. Copy trading on Bybit is planned for 2027.
What is a drawdown?
A drawdown is the fall in an account's value from its highest point (its peak) to a later low, shown as a percentage. If an account grows to $1,000 and then falls to $800, the drawdown is 20%. The worst (maximum) drawdown is the deepest such fall over a period.
What is a drawdown brake?
A drawdown brake is a rule that cuts risk automatically as an account falls from its peak. CriptoFocus uses three steps, all before Bybit Pro's 20% line: a warning, then fewer new trades, then no new trades until the account recovers. Trades that are already open keep their planned exits.
Why judge a trader by their worst month, not their best?
Because the worst month shows whether you would still have money when things go wrong. A trader who makes +80% and then loses 50% has turned $1,000 into $900. Losses need bigger gains to recover, so a shallow worst month usually matters more than a big best month.
How much gain does it take to recover from a loss?
Gain needed = 1 ÷ (1 − loss) − 1. A 20% loss needs +25%, a 30% loss needs +42.9%, a 50% loss needs +100% and a 75% loss needs +300% just to break even. The deeper the fall, the faster the required gain grows.
What is a liquidation price in crypto futures?
The liquidation price is where an exchange force-closes a leveraged trade because its losses have used up the margin. With a 0.5% maintenance margin, a 10× long is liquidated after roughly a 9.5% fall and a 2× long after roughly 49.5%. A spot trade, bought without borrowing, cannot be liquidated.
What is copy trading on Bybit?
Copy trading lets followers automatically mirror a master trader's trades in their own Bybit account. Followers keep control of their money and can stop at any time; the master earns a share of followers' profits (10–15%, set by Bybit's tiers), and only when there are profits.
How does CriptoFocus publish its record?
Every figure describes a finished day and is shown in whole percent. Closed trades are listed by coin, week and result once that week is over, and dollar amounts are not published. The method stays private while the results stay public and unedited.
Is CriptoFocus financial advice?
No. CriptoFocus publishes information about its own rules-based system and its results. Nothing on the site is financial, investment or tax advice. Cryptoassets are highly volatile and you can lose all of your money.
